About the Book

Are you injured and considering hiring a lawyer

– or maybe you already have a lawyer?

It can be a time of great uncertainty, fear, and stress. This book is not intended to give you legal advice. Instead, it is written to guide you in the process of choosing and working with a lawyer.

Written by Lisa Rennie, with 18 years experience in personal injury law, this book provides the reader with a guide to the most common fears and frustrations of working with a lawyer in a personal injury claim. It covers everything from how to pick the right lawyer for you, knowing what to ask, how to save unnecessary fees and red flags to look out for.

This book is a handbook that can be read and then put aside and referred to as you work through the claims process.

The aim is to give you peace of mind and reassurance.

With this book, you can confidently work with your lawyer and avoid unnecessary stress and worry.

About Lisa

Lisa Rennie is a happily retired and recovering lawyer. With 18 years’ experience in personal injury law, working for injured people, Lisa has seen the full range of emotions, fears and concerns from her clients. Rather than closing the door on that chapter of her life, she has put pen to paper to bring you some reassurance and guidance on working with a lawyer based on her experience and the many conversations she has had with clients over the years.

Lisa enjoyed a rewarding career in law and a highlight was her time as General Manager of one of Queensland’s leading personal injury firms. Now Lisa enjoys her time building online businesses, travel and running a busy household.

Her hope is that this book will encourage greater and more effective communication between lawyers and their clients and save unnecessary angst for all involved.
